I love WhatifAltHist, but there are a few things that he gets wrong. I don’t think it’s from him being corrupt or otherwise malicious, but from simply not accessing the right media, which I blame it partially on big tech censorship & partially on the alternate media’s sensationalism.
I’m jumping right into these topics, counting down from least to most controversial.
Before you reply to me, remember what WhatifAltHist said in 11: Purposefully Misunderstanding People is Okay - Another 12 Lies About Reality, & at the beginning of A Final 8 Taboo Questions about History and Society.
Now let’s jump into a rabbit hole, shall we?

17. Star Wars.
Complexities and nuance in Star Wars ] Morality in Star Wars
I understand thinking Star Wars is simple good vs evil if one only watches the movies. But, the deeper lore is way more complex.
Unimportant, this is just for Star Wars fans.

13. School.
The video Stay Out of School summarizes the problems with traditional schooling, or as I prefer to call it, the the Prussian schooling philosophy.
"Education should aim at destroying free will so that after pupils are thus schooled they will be incapable throughout the rest of their lives of thinking or acting otherwise than as their school masters would have wished". - Gottlieb Fichte, the creator of the Prussian schooling philosophy, Addresses to the German Nation.
Look into the works by John Taylor Gatto. He is THE expert when it comes to the Prussian schooling philosophy.
There are other philosophies that are better for children than the Prussian one & that I’d consider to be actually educational for children, such as Montessori & Peninsula school.

12. Healthcare and Higher Education.
Healthcare and college/university. - America Versus The World
Edit: I’d also like to mention when it comes to Generation Z & the economy, Zoomers could be pretty well-off if they worked in the trades (I don’t know about supporting a family in the midst of inflation, though).

11. Income inequality.

8. Libertarianism.
Not all libertarians believe that people are only self-interested. That’s more of a Objectivist/Randian view, & I wonder if that’s a strawman, even as someone who dislikes Objectivism/Randianism.
Also in “Which Politics Are Best for the Economy?“, he confuses libertarians with anarchists, more specifically Anarcho-Capitalists/Rothbardians. Not all libertarians are anarchists. Many, if not the majority of libertarians tolerate a state as a lesser evil to chaos, considering how the vast majority of societies lack the social cohesion required to have anarchy, or at least the type of anarchy philosophers want.
I recommend seeing
Ron Paul and the six kinds of libertarianism.
There are also utilitarian/consequentialist & deontological libertarians (Deontology versus Consequentialism: The Great Libertarian Divide).
I think that Lynch can most closely be classified as a Classical Liberal & almost a utilitarian/consequentialist libertarian. Milton Friedman is an example of a utilitarian/consequentialist libertarian.

6. Harm, Deacadence, & Is The West Committing Suicide.
I don’t disagree with Lynch on harm, I just think that he could’ve given stronger examples when talking about Europe.
Two examples would be European laws regarding self-defense, & Holocaust denial laws.
Go to
Put in a url from the following videos, & search “Europe“;
Gun Gripes #103: "The Sheep Mentality"
UK to ban KITCHEN knives? - Sacrificing freedom for security?

Self-defense laws - Minimal force to protect criminals?
-
Also, in Germany in 2012, there were attempts to ban circumcision which were unsuccessful (this doesn’t give me confidence that the Europeans have the willpower to stand up for values & principles).
When it comes to Holocaust denial, in many European countries, if you said that 5,999,999 Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, you can be censored, fined &/or even imprisoned, over an atrocity that happened more than three quarters of a century ago. BUT, it’s completely legal to be a tankie & say that Uigirs aren’t persecuted & that there are no concentration camps in Xinjiang, an event happening right now.
And want to talk about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Forget about it.
While East Asia also has strict weapon laws, it’s because these cultures value authority, not harm. In East Asia, on a cultural level, things like hate speech, corporal punishment (& even straight-up child abuse), the death penalty, & even forced confessions are acceptable. In East Asian civilization, the important thing is the collective, while the individual is disposable.
In my opinion, the reason why America is less decadent than Western Europe is a combination of America being extremely rural compared to Western Europe (including isolated small towns) & the Holocaust & World Wars being not so horrifying & traumatizing for America.
Western European’s fear of harm & obsession with comfort makes be think of the novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, the Movie Demolition Man (which made allusions to Brave New World) (an honorable mention), & the video Worshipping Weakness by ShortFatOtaku.
I also read somewhere on Quora that (Western) Europeans laugh at American preppers. Looking down upon preparedness is, in my opinion, further evidence of a decadent society.
I love how Europe is one of the very most empathetic places in the world, particularly when it comes to issues such as youth/children’s rights & the Netherlands having some of the best animal welfare laws in the world, but as I mentioned before, it can be taken too far & become cowardice instead of true compassion.
When it comes to gun control, please see 2. Gun control..

5. Overlooked sources of violence in societies.
I think it would be interesting to look into Psychohistory. Not the fictional field, but real field by Lloyd Demause. Here’s some samples of it:
The Origins of War in Child Abuse
Chapter 6: The Childhood Origins of World War II and the Holocaust
Here’s a couple of audiobooks:
The History of Child Abuse - Lloyd deMause (1998) [Text To Speech]

However, it’s little known, & I’m unsure of its credibility.

Now let's see a map showing circumcision prevalence by country, & another map showing countries that are at war:
File:Global Map of Male Circumcision Prevalence by Country.svg
File:Ongoing conflicts around the world.svg
Notice how many wars are going on in Africa, the Islamic world & the Philippines, all circumcising cultures. Also remember how the United States of America has a one of the highest violent crime and especially homicide rates among developed countries, & is one of the few first world countries where circumcision is routine, other than Israel & Turkey.
Some articles talking about circumcision & violence:

4. What Sexual Norms Do We Want.
I guess it would be to combine the openness around sexuality in Amsterdam culture with a Japanese-esque acceptance with being open to having one partner for the home another partner for lust & romance (in Japan, it’s common for men to have a housewife & a mistress. You may think that’s immoral, but at least Japan has a way lower divorce rate than more religious nations such as America).
If you think Japan or the Netherlands are wild about sex, look into the Trobriand Islanders & Muria Tribe. I think Japanese & Dutch sex culture isn’t so wild when compared to the Trobriand Islanders & Muria Tribe (I don’t think the latter two would work out in the industrialized world).

I’d like to mention that the reason why Japanese people aren’t having kids is mostly economic, both momentary & in terms of time & energy since Japanese people are so overworked;
-
I’m shocked that Lynch didn’t mention masturbation being taboo:

3. War & America’s foreign policy.
We both dislike Russia & China, as I clearly explain in detail in
But that being said, I don’t think that America’s foreign policy is justified, for the most part:

I would love for WhatifAltHist to debate Ryan Dawson on rather or not interventionism is a good idea. I personally think interventionism is only a good idea for 1st World countries, as that interventions in the 2nd & 3rd Worlds are screwed up by governments which have little incentive to not screw up, along with being unable to fix low-trust societies.
Ryan Dawson is the most censored person on the internet (Censorship playlist on altCensored/Censorship playlist on Odysee). Trust me.

Videos by Whatifalthist and other Christians that challenged my worldview.
Lynch has done a better job than literally anyone else when when it comes to convincing me that religion can be beneficial or possibly even necessary for society, & more specifically made me take another look at Christianity. It does help than Lynch is a Quaker instead of internet reactionary Christian-right-wingers who are Christians just to be contrarian to athiest left-wingers, as talked about in RELIGIOUS LARPERS ARE RUINING THE INTERNET AND HERE'S HOW....
-
Both Dave Smith & Pete Quinones have talked about what they believed to be the sociological reasons as to why libertarianism isn’t more popular. I think that Lynch can talk to them & give far more substantial explanations as Lynch is a historian, while Smith & Quinones are philosophy nerds (no offense).

I do know about the corruption of experts when it comes to adolescence. Robert Epstein has stated in a radio interview that he has been in ‘closed-door‘ meetings with the pharmaceutical industry, in which they mention how they could increase their profits if they can get more teens diagnosed with disorders so that they can sell drugs to said teens diagnosed with disorders;

Closing.
In my personal opinion, Ryan Dawson is the better researcher, while Rudyard Lynch is the mostly better historian. As much as I agree with Dawson on politics. I think Lynch had better explanations for culture, especially with his explanation of why Western Civilization is so successful & why Latin America is dysfunctional. However, Lynch is more ignorant to modern politics, thanks to good alternate media sources being suppressed while conspiracy kook sources are allowed to disseminate. Sensationalist alternate media also gets more attention than non-sensationalist alternate media.
I also ask that you read Responding to WhatIfAltHist on Decadence & Responding to UBERSOY on Why The Right Supports Russia; Western Self-Loathing, Tankies & the Fifth Column within the Anti-War & Anti-Imperialist Movements.

Bonus.
I discovered WhatifAltHist when I saw his video “Why is America Crazy Now?“ appear in my YouTube recommended feed. Then I found out that he is a Generation Z member, more specifically, born in the year 2000, & is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was born in 2001, am from & live in an Atlanta suburb. We’re both right-wing (libertarian, actually) male Zoomer online political commentators from the Eastern US, so you can imagine why I feel connected to him.
