You make good points, but realize that Dr. Robert Epstein cannot be truly called a youth rights defenders.

He makes good arguments for allowing youths more autonomy in Teen 2.0, but he stops far short of that through requiring competency tests to be considered legally adult. I cannot tell you just the nightmarish situation we would be in with the logistics, lawsuits, legal battles, and new agencies we would have to create.

Not to mention that the man has publicly endorsed arranged marriage, which contradicts his belief in youth autonomy and maturity. If teens are truly mature, as Epstein claims to believe, why should their elders force them into marriages against their will? While there is nothing wrong with parents taking wives for their sons and husbands for their daughters, forcing is wrong.
