I would say that still though, America is at the top of the list regarding freedom and libertarianism. Other countries may be just as free or more free in ONE or MORE areas, but America really takes the cake.
- Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, although some states are more regulated than others.
- Unlimited capacity firearms magazines are legal in most states
- Almost all long guns are available for purchase and possession without a permit/registration in most states, including semi-auto centerfire rifles. Only short-barreled rifles/shotguns and full auto need to be registered in accordance with federal law!
- Free speech (no hate speech laws)
- A good number of states are free from income tax and sales tax
Sure, some other countries may allow semi-auto centerfire rifles and handguns, but in most nations, you need a license and you need a "legitimate reason", with self-defense NOT on the list! Your firearms are also required to be stored properly and the police can stop by your house anytime and check up.
Good point, but the so-called "secular countries" you mentioned all either have a Christian background (all of Europe has traditionally been Christianized or Christian-influenced) and the wealthy East Asian countries have all been heavily financed or influenced by the United States.
South Korea only exists because American troops fought against the Northern invasion. Post-war Japan has continuously been occupied by the Americans.
And honestly, my favorite European country IS Switzerland. Sure, they have conscription and everything, but so what? Conscription in Switzerland is all about national defense and there is no chance that a Swiss soldier will ever be sent to Afghanistan or somewhere across the world unrelated to defending the nation itself.
The Swiss have the best gun rights; I know I have said this before, but please make more posts about Swiss gun rights! They can literally own fully automatic firearms as private citizens!
